The Bridal Room was originally a fabric shop but constant demands for advice on designing wedding dresses convinced us to expand into the bridal industry.
This side of the business has proved very successful and there are now three in-house designers. It is their in-depth knowledge of fabrics that allows the Bridal Room to produce delightful, traditional dresses at very low prices. Doreen Stark, the owner of the shop, despises the pressure put on young brides and tends to treat all her customers like her own daughters. She will often take up to four fittings just to ensure that the calico toile is a perfect fit. Her dial-a-dress' idea is one of ultimate flexibility: brides can combine features from different samples into one dress. The shop also stocks a wide selection of other designers like Helen Marina, Amanda Wyatt, Alan Hannah and Sallie Bee. Appointments are necessary; evening fittings are possible.
