Stacie's wedding diary
Episode 15

I have survived my first day teaching! After accomplishing that, the wedding seems like a blissful, stress-free, day at the spa. Okay I am exaggerating but for those of you who have had to face, or even only imagine facing, thirty rambunctious thirteen year olds, you will understand. The day went really well and there is a lot more to come so I am glad it did.

I spent the weekend in Wales visiting with Gareths family. It was so nice. I am one of those lucky enough to have future in-laws that are such wonderful people. I love visiting them and it is so nice to go to Wales and get out of the city. I spent the weekend relaxing, eating loads of food, not stressing out a bit about teaching or the wedding, and generally having an all around fabulous time.

Gareths mum asked me a bit about the details of the wedding but since my father has not decided what he wants I could not really help out a lot. What will it be a small intimate affair with only family and close friends, or a big extravagant reception with everyone he has ever met or passed on the street? The main point of worry here is that so many people want to get married in 2000 and so if I do not figure it out soon the places I like might already be reserved. And because of the travelling involved she, and all the other people from the United Kingdom going, would like to start looking into flights. I promised I would let her know as soon as I could and that I would research hotels and transportation for her over Christmas. Speaking of holidays next week is Thanksgiving so allow me to be the first to wish you a Happy Turkey Day probably the first greeting of this kind you have ever received. Basically it is a big feast celebrating the Pilgrims surviving to their first harvest after a harsh winter. I have been planning a feast of my own in honour of the occasion and all of my friends are coming over to stuff themselves full of turkey and all the trimmings.
