Stacie's wedding diary
Episode 30

This week seems so dull in comparison to the fame we sought the week previous, with Gareth being dressed up by Youngs and having our engagement photos taken by Brett Killington. We have not received our photos yet from Brett - it should be another week yet - so we have yet to realise our true potential as models. Instead of last weeks lovely romance with the camera and long relaxing days spent in Wales, this week I am being assessed by my college on my teaching and being visited by mice.

You might think I am mistaking my instructor for a rodent, but you would be incorrect. Last night I was woken by a tiny, hungry mouse who has a taste for ready salted crisps. Gareth bravely hunted it down while I remained in the stereotypical female role of staying in bed with the sheets drawn up around me. We managed to get rid of the pest without maiming it, but I am afraid the crisps did not survive the ordeal.

In other news, my mom called me this weekend about the wedding. Apparently, my father and stepmom had put down the deposit without consulting her. There is some serious miscommunication in the planning of this event that I am going to have to sort out when they return from holiday. Hopefully, I will be able to talk to them about it without any heated arguements. It should have to be difficult and hopefully it will not be. They just get so excited about the planning, they go ahead and do it without considering the rest of the group.

That said, I am still relieved they put the deposit down when they did. I was getting anxious that we would wait too long and never get a place at all. Thankfully, not only did we get a place but it is a really beautiful old house to boot.
