The scene of the crime - the site for the wedding. Investigations continue into the place where we are to be married. Evidence is being compiled on both sides for or against our continued investment in this location. Battle lines have been drawn and we are only waiting on the evidence of our investigator, also known as my father, as to proof on whether or not the building is in fact for sale. Numerous attempts have been made for us to discuss this, but missed calls on both our parts have left the situation still open.
In other news, I am in my second to last week of my teaching practice. Next week I leave for the States. Gareth and I have managed to finagle a flight back together. I will be home for almost a month and he is coming out the last week I will be there. We are going to fly back together out of Chicago after visiting a friend there.
It will be the first time he has seen my family since he proposed. When he last left my father and stepmother, he had only told them that morning that he had asked for my hand. They had been on a holiday and had come home the day he was leaving. Not the best of situations. It would have been nice to be able to sit down with them for longer to talk about the whole situation. This will be Gareth's first opportunity to discuss the wedding planning with them and to see where we will be married. All in all, the next month should be pretty interesting.
This weekend we have friends coming in from Bath. We are going to watch Wales play rugby in a pub out in Richmond and then back to ours for a discussion on arrangements for them and the rest of our friends to come out to the wedding. As a result, I am hoping everything gets settled soon at home. 27 March 2000,
Stacie Lewis
